This means of transport is back again after disappearing for many years. TRAMBAIX follows Av. Diagonal from Pl. Francesc Macià to Sant Joan Despí (passing through l’Hospitalet, Esplugues de LL. and Cornellà).TRAMBESÓS runs from Ciutadella to Glòries and then along Av. Diagonal to the Fòrum and St. Adrià del Besós. Fares are the same as for other means of transport in Zone 1: 1.35 €.

The integrated fare system includes the metro, FGC trains, city and intercity buses, trams and local RENFE trains operating in the Barcelona metropolitan area. The area is divided into zones. Zone 1 consists of the metropolitan area and some nearby towns such as Castelldefels, St. Feliu de Llobregat, Montcada i Reixac and Montgat. Zone 2 reaches out as far as Garraf, Castellbisbal, Rubí, Castellarnau, Parets del Vallès, Granollers and Vilassar de Mar.

Taxis in Barcelona are black and yellow and carry a green light on the roof and a sign on the windscreen to indicate when they are free. The driver must turn on the “taxímetro”, a meter located in the front of the vehicle, at the start of the journey. The minimum fare is 2€ during the standard rate timetable. The rate per kilometre travelled is 1.10€, airport trips cost have a 3.10€ surcharge and the suitcase surcharge is 1€ and the extra charge for night service is 2€ (midnight to 6am, Fri-Sun & public holidays). Change is given up to 20€.

Bicing is a new bicycle based public transport system. The first 30 minutes of each journey is included in the price of the season ticket. Additional time used is paid apart, up to a maximum of 2 hours. An annual season ticket costs 30€, fractions of 30 minutes (first fraction included in the season ticket) cost 0.50€. The Tramvia Blau (blue tram) runs between Pl. Kennedy and Pl. Doctor Andreu. Service operates every day in summer (20/06 to 13/09) and the rest of September, at weekends and on public holidays. Timetable: 10am to 8pm. Tickets: 2.80€ single and 4.30€ return. Running times: every 30 minutes. The Tibidabo cable car runs from the blue tram stop at Plaça Dr. Andreu to the amusement park on Tibidabo. It can be combined with FCG train journeys.
This is the most interesting way to get to the Castell de Montjuïc and discover one of Barcelona’s most fascinating viewpoints. Take it from Avinguda Miramar where there is a connection from Paral·lel metro station.

This is the cheapest, most comfortable and most environmentally-friendly way to get up the mountain of Montjuïc. It is integrated with the metro network and connected to lines 2 and 3 at Paral·lel station. It is also connected with the Montjuïc cable car. Working times: Mon-Fri, 7.30am-10pm. Sat-Sun & public holidays: 9am-10pm. Tickets: Fares are the same as other forms of transport in Zone 1.
